“The Strangest Suicide Story in the History”

Once a person named Ronald Obos decided to finish his life so he decided the simplest way of suicide to jump from the building he was living. He did this and leave a letter for his family stating he has lost all his hopes to live a better life. But on 23 March 1994, his postmortem report stated the reason for his death by gunfire shoot on his head. When investigating started it appears the bullet that causes Ronaldo’s death is shooted by the 9th floor of the same building he was living. An old couple was living there for long. Neighbors told that this couple used to fight all the time, and strangely when Ronaldo jumped from his roof at the same time the old man holding a gun was threatening his wife to kill her. In extreme aggression husband unintentionally shot his wife but because his wife was far from him, the bullet hit Ronaldo who jumped from his roof and causes his death. (Twist remains in the story) When a case appears in court the old man insisted that they used to fight all the time, he always threatened his wife but the gun is always unloaded. After further investigation, a strange thing appears any relative of the old couple saw their son loading old men,s gun. The reason was that their son asked his mother for money but the mother refused, so he made a plan to get rid of his old parents. He knew very well that they used to fight all the time and when the next time his father will shot from an unloaded pistol, it will cause his mother’s death as now it is loaded by the bullet and his father will be jailed. But the bullet didn’t hit his mother instead hits on Ronald at his suicide time. So the culprit of a murder case is now their son. (Strange!! now have a look again on complete story) Strangest thing in all this story is that Ronald is actually the son of the old couple. He puts a bullet in his father’s gun to get rid of his parents. But due to bad financial conditions and delayed fight with his parents, he decided to finish himself. While jumping from roof the same bullet hits his head. So in this manner, Ronald is a killer and also the victim….

Suicide – A path to destruction
Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre

The life of a human is priceless. No material treasure in the world can be equal in value to one moment of life. Every breath given to a person by Almighty Allah is a bounty. Therefore Allah says,

“How can you disbelieve? Seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the Day of Resurrection) and then unto Him you will return.” (Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 28)

The bounty of life is a trust and is accompanied with a responsibility. It must be cherished and utilized correctly. Any breach of this trust will be a matter of serious concern and accountability to the Owner of this trust – Our Creator and Maker Allah Ta’ala.

Life is about happiness and grief

In this journey of life, accompanied with happy times one will encounter certain challenges, hardships, and difficulty at some point or the other. This is the pattern of life for human beings. Conditions of happiness and comfort are not perpetual. Rather, occasions of sorrow, grief and difficulty will prevail.

However enormous the challenge of life may seem to be, it will never be beyond one’s capacity to bear it with patience. Allah Ta’ala says “Allah does not burden a soul with more than it is capable of enduring” (Surah Baqarah)

Thus, there will be challenges and these challenges will be within our scope of patience and endurance and there will be relief and consolation for us from Allah Ta’ala in the process. Allah Ta’ala says “Verily with every difficulty there is relief” .This verse is repeated in Surah Inshirah for emphasis.
Suicide – The road to eternal destruction

One way some believe to quickly dispense of life’s hurdles is to resort to suicide. Generally, people who have lost all hope in life or have underachieved in some task they expected to be successful in turn to suicide and consider it to be a relief from there dilemmas. Regrettably, suicide does not give anyone relief. Rather, suicide is a defiance of Allah’s will and something that has devastating consequences for the perpetrator, the community and family of the victim.

Almighty Allah is our Creator, he is the Giver of life and the Owner of it, and He alone has the right to end it. Suicide is forbidden in Islam and listed among the major sins.

Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down therein forever. Whoever takes poison and kills himself, his poison will be in his hand and he will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell forever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, that piece of iron will be in his hand and he will be stabbing himself in the stomach with it in the Fire of Hell, forever.” (Sahih Bukhari)

Thaabit ibn al-Dahak (RA) narrates that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Whoever kills himself with something in this world will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih Bukhari)

Jundub (RA) narrates that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said “Among those who came before you there was a man who was wounded and he panicked, so he took a knife and cut his hand with it, and the blood did not stop flowing until he died. Allah said: ‘My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise for him.” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)
