A BID’AH KHATAM

Question: How is it to arrange a Shabeena for several (about 10) Huffaaz? They are invited to read a few Juz each of the
Qur’aan in one night to make a Khatam? Is this permissible? May one participate in such ibaadat? Is it permissible to invite the public for such a programme? How is it to have tea and snacks after every two or four raka’ts to keep up the energy levels and to be refreshed? Did Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) or the Sahaabah ever indulge in such a practice?
ANSWER
Ibaadat is only what existed during the era of the Salafus Saaliheen – the era of Khairul Quroon. Whatever was fabricated in the form of ibaadat after this epoch is bid’ah. The Qur’aan Majeed was of primary importance in the sphere of Ibaadat in the lives of the Sahaabah. The main acts of Ibaadat of the Sahaabah and the Salafus Saaliheen were Tilaawat and Nafl Salaat. Yet, there is not found in their lives any Ijtimaa-ee(congregational) form of Nafl Salaat or of Tilaawat. These were private acts. The more privacy attached to these acts, the greater will be Ikhlaas, and the converse is true. A congregational form detracts from Ikhlaas. Besides this fact, if there was any merit in making khatam in group form as explained, the Sahaabah would have been the very first to have enacted it. Generally, congregational forms of ibaadat other than the confirmed Masnoon forms, were shunned by the Sahaabah. Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu anhu) had expelled from the Musjid a group who was engaging in Tahleel, Tahmeed and Takbeer in congregational form. A Sahaabi who was a guest by another Sahaabi narrated that his host would engage in Tilaawat the entire night without him (the guest) being aware, so silently would he recite. The emphasis is on Ikhlaas. Congregational form is nugatory of Ikhlaas. The dividing line between Ikhlaas and riya/ujub and Ikhlaas is at times extremely fine and blurring. Sometimes Auliya also are mistaken and fail to discern this dividing line. A sure sign of a form of Ibaadat being unacceptable is when its form differs from the pure and simple form which existed during Khairul Quroon. On the basis of this brief introduction, the answers to your queries are:
1) It will not be permissible to invite Huffaaz to participate in the congregational ‘shabeena’ form. There never existed any congregational shabeena act of ibaadat among the Sahaabah.
2) Inviting the public to such an act aggravates the prohibition. It will become a merrymaking function. In Islam there are no ibaadat programmes. Ibaadat is a private, individual act which, as far as possible, must be concealed and remain a secret between the bandah and his Rabb. It should always remain a secret communion between the Mahboob and the Muhib. A public display is in total negation of this secret bond of Muhabbat between the Mahboob and His Muhib.
3) Tea and snacks aggravate the ‘ibaadat’ even more. It will be a mere display and a merrymaking get-together devoid of the Ikhlaas which is necessary for Maqbooliyat.
4) Most certainly Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), the Sahaabah , Taabieen and Tab-e-Taabieen never ever engaged in any such shabeenah or congregational recitation of the Qur’aan Majeed. The Salafus Saaliheen who were addicted to making numerous khatams monthly would do so in such secrecy that their acts of ibaadat would become known only by stealth. One person hid himself one night to see how Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullah alayh) spent the night. From his position of concealment, he discovered that in two raka’ts, Imaam Saahib completed the whole Qur’aan Majeed. But this was during the night time, in privacy when no one was present. It was a secret communion between the slave and His Master. Never should we originate an ibaadat act whose form is not the form which has been reported to us from Khairul Quroon.

THE “RAMDHAANI HUFFAAZ” ADVICE

THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF THE “RAMDHAANI HUFFAAZ” ADVICE AND WARNING

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“The Bearer of the Qur’aan is the Standard Bearer of Islam.”

There are two kinds of Qur’aan Bearers—The Ulama and the Huffaaz. The Amaanat (Trust) of the Qur’aanic Text has been assigned to the Huffaaz. It is their obligation to zealously guard this Divine Text. But, today most of the huffaaz are treacherous abusers of this Amaanat. Besides the extreme deficiency of their Hifz, their moral condition is absolutely putrid and deplorable. Their character displays nothing of the Qur’aan.

When a Haafiz would visit Hadhrat Masihullah (Rahmatullah alayh), Hadhrat would ask: “Are you a Ramdhaani haafiz or a Haafizul Qur’aan?” Most of the huffaaz who lead Taraaweeh Salaat in the various Musaajid are Ramdhaani Huffaaz. They are not Haafizul Qur’aan.

A Ramdhaani hafiz is a chap who is advertised as a Haafiz whilst in reality he is nowhere near to a Haafizul Qur’aan. He became a haafiz at the Madrasah, but after leaving the Madrasah, the greater part of the Qur’aan Majeed vanished from his memory. Since the Qur’aan Majeed was never loaded into his heart, his memory fails to be a valid repository for Allah’s Kalaam. His moral condition is rotten. Many cut and shave their beards. They indulge in all the immoral filth in which the masses are sinking. Every immoral filth of the social media has become their hobby. Their dress is evil and haraam kuffaar fashions. They are utterly shameless and unconcerned of the Qur’aan Majeed which they had committed to memory.

Just before Ramadhaan, some of these louts begin preparations for leading the Taraaeeh Salaat. All day long they have to struggle to prepare a quarter Juz to perform just four raka’ts. Despite toiling to memorise what they have forgotten, even the quarter juz they recite is potted with errors. In addition, their recitation is putrid. It is haraam to appoint these kinds of Ramadhaani huffaaz to lead the Taraaweeh Salaat.

The Qur’aan Majeed invokes Allah’s La’nat (Curse) on these vagabond fake ‘huffaaz’. Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mubaarak (Rahmatullah alayh) said:

“Many people become bearers of the Qur’aan majeed, but the Qur’aan from within them curses them. When the haafiz disobeys Allah Ta’ala, then the Qur’aan Majeed from within him proclaims: ‘By Allah! What has happened to you? Why have you borne me. Have you no shame for your Rabb?”
Whenever Hadhrat Yusuf Bin Asbaat (Rahmatullah alayh) would make khatam of the Qur’aan Majeed, he would recite Istighfaar 700 times. Then he would supplicate 70 times: “O Allah! I have recited without practising (the teachings of the Qur’aan). Save me from Your Wrath.”
Hadhrat Fudhail Bin Iyaadh (Rahmatullah alayh) said:

“How can it ever be possible for a Haafiz to be disobedient to Allah Ta’ala when every word in the Qur’aan loudly proclaims: You have made hifz of me. For the sake of Allah Ta’ala do not be disobedient to Him.”

Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha’raani (Rahmatullah alayh), giving naseehat to the Huffaaz, said:

“It is highly improper for the Haafiz of the Qur’aan to mingle with people of sport and futility. He should not join people who are uncaring (of the Deen).”
Nowadays even the Talaba who are becoming Ulama, are aided and encouraged by the Madaaris to indulge in haraam sport and futility. Some Darul Ulooms have even established kuffaar sportsfields for the Students who are supposed to be engrossed in the pursuit of the Knowledge of the Qur’aan and Hadith. The Darul Ulooms, the Asaatizah and the Talaba have become mercenaries. The Deen is furthest from their minds. Their objective is the dunya and gratification of the nafs.

Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu anhu), a very senior Sahaabi, said: “When the people (enjoy) eating, the Haafiz should abstain (i.e. from functions). When they engage in futile talk, the Haafiz should remain silent. When they are proud of their garments and worldly possessions, the Haafiz should adopt humility.”
Hadhrat Sufyaan Thauri (Rahmatullah alayh) said:

“Every word of the Qur’aan which the Haafiz bears (in his heart) disinclines him from the dunya.”
Hadhrat Saalih Al-Maree said:

“In a dream I recited the Qur’aan Majeed in the presence of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). When I made khatam of it, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: ‘This is the Qur’aan Majeed (i.e. its recitation). Where is the fear and humility?”
Hadhrat Ali (Rahmatullah alayh) – the son of Hadhrat Fudhail – said:

“I am surprised by the one who expresses happiness on making khatam of the Qur’aan Majeed while he does not apprehend his nafs with anything from the advices and warnings of the Qur’aan Majeed.”

Hadhrat Anas Bin Maalik (Radhiyallahu anhu) said:

“There are many reciters of the Qur’aan whom the Qur’aan Majeed curse.”

Hadhrat Fudhail Bin Iyaadh (Rahmatullah alayh) said:

“On the Day of Qiyaamah the Huffaaz of the Qur’aan will be questioned regarding the same issue about which the Ambiya will be questioned. They will be asked if they had perfectly implemented the teachings of the Qur’aan Majeed. It is mentioned in the Hadith: “Most of the munaafiqeen of this Ummah are its qaaris.”
The Ummah today, including the Huffaaz and the Ulama have taken the Qur’aan Majeed as if it is a toy to be buffeted about. The Qur’aan Majeed which has been revealed for our hidaayat and moral reformation is being made an object of play and idle sport by the qaaris and molvis. The Qur’aan Majeed is subjected to Haraam competitions, Haraam prizes, riya and takabbur. It is precisely for this reason that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that most of the munaafiqeen are the qaaris. On the Day of Qiyaamah Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) will say to Allah Ta’ala:
“O my Rabb! Verily, my people have made this Qur’aan an object to buffet.”

The so-called huffaaz whose lifestyle the year round is in total conflict with the teachings and spirit of the Qur’aan Majeed, should not be allowed to lead the Taraaweeh. If a decent Haafiz is not available, the short Surahs should be recited. The huffaaz should reflect and meditate on the La’nat of Allah Ta’ala which settles on them for their gross abuse of this Amaanat of Hifz. They are ruined in this life and in the Aakhirah. The Qur’aan Majeed says in this regard:

“They are losers in the dunya and in the Aakhirah. Indeed it is a great loss.”

The Qur’aan curses the huffaaz who abuse this Amaanat with their moral corruption and neglect. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has mentioned that the Qur’aan Majeed as a whole, and also individual Surahs will be comforters in the Qabr as well as shield to prevent punishment from the inmate of the grave. But how can the Qur’aan ever be a comforter and defender in the Grave for these fake ‘huffaaz’ and munaafiq qaaris who convert the Qur’aan Majeed into a football and a toy for mock and for the acquisition of worldly and nafsaani objectives? Their recital in Taraaweeh is a mockery. They should not be permitted to lead the Taraaweeh. The trustees of a Musjid who allow these fussaaq fake ‘huffaaz’ to lead Taraaweeh are guilty of a kabeerah sin. Heed the warnings of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Auliya!!!

President Morsi: “Our Brother, Our Martyr”

In a Facebook post, Ahmad, Mohammad Morsi’s son wrote:

“ونعى أحمد نجل مرسي أباه في منشور على فيسبوك قال فيه “أبي عند الله نلتقي

“Father, we will meet in the presence of Allāh.”

President Mohamed Morsi (raḥimahu Allāhu) was a President like none other: the first and last democratically elected in Egypt’s known history; A ḥāfiẓ of the Book of Allāh, the husband of a ḥāfiẓah and the father of five ḥufāẓ; [1] a leader, and a representative of the deep-rooted, profound Muslim Brotherhood organisation that emblematises decades of Islamic Scholarship, humanitarian work, and unparalleled political organisation. The group was Egypt’s unsung backbone, running 1000 Non-Governmental Organisations and developing intuitions for the poor and destitute.

With the participation of Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood organised the masses and achieved Egypt’s most peaceful transition from a wedged military tyranny to Parliamentary Democracy. The rocket scientist by trade would go on to triumph in five consecutive elections: the 2011 constitutional referendum; the 2011 to 2012 People’s Assembly vote; the 2012 Upper House of Parliament, the 2012 Presidential Election; and the referendum on the new constitution.

Despite President Morsi ruling Egypt on the lowest paid salary for a President in the world himself, he managed to increase agricultural exports increased by 20%, he reduced the Central Bank’s deficit reduced by 45%, and he raised economic growth to 2.4%. [1] Amidst perpetual protests and targeted character assassination, his administration transformed Egypt into the much-desired civil state.

It was President Morsi who answered the cries of the Syrians, severing Egypt’s ties with the bloody regime and exclaiming to all hearers – “We hear your call, Syria” – and supported its revolution. [1] Who can forget when Morsi stifled ‘Israel’s’ war on Gaza in 2012 on-par another massacre, [1] withdrawing Egypt’s ambassador to the Zionist entity. Ask the 2300 people who were killed in Gaza in 2014, or the 10,000 wounded during what the coup regime did one year after Morsi was overthrown.

2013 saw one of history’s worst crackdowns on pro-democracy activists. President Morsi was deposed, and him, along with hundreds of leaders in the Muslim Brotherhood and thousands of activists were incarcerated and trialled under the most derisory accusations. The six-year-long trial swung between jail and death sentences whilst Morsi stood defiant, upright, and smart behind a glass window, but never conceding his position as Egypt’s highest authority.

Other than the 3000 of those who were killed parading in his support, a fraction of the 13.2 million who waited under the sun to cast their votes, tens of thousands of his supporters were detained under forged charges and scores were assassinated in the bloody military crackdown that continues today. Unfortunately, this was much to the silence of the international community that instead recognised the despot, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, inviting him to economic forums and prestigious dinners, and bolstering him with hundreds of billions of petrol money.

“It is not befitting for a leader to follow concessions… all praise is due to Allāh, I strived 15 years for martyrdom…[moments before his execution he said] this finger that declares the oneness of Allāh in ṣalāh refuses to write a letter in recognition of this tyrant’s authority.” [2]

During a ‘court’ hearing on the 17th of June, 2019, President Mohamed Morsi collapsed and returned to his lord. Morsi and his family indicated to the ‘court’ that there was an imminent danger to his life due to a prevailing medical condition towards the beginning of May. The ‘court’, however, ignored his pleas. [3]

Mohamed Morsi was an icon of patience and perseverance against oppression, tyranny and the thugs of injustice. He was an icon of struggle and daʿwah to Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) in his youth whilst in the United States. Having returned with intents to revolutionise Egypt’s ailing industry, he was battered by military pawns and pseudo regimes. [1] Morsi is, today, a martyr of injustice, and has returned to his Lord whilst standing in the face of tyranny:

Jābir (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) narrates that the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) said:

“The leader of the martyrs is Hamzah b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib and a man who stood up before a tyrant and enjoined good and forbade evil, and he killed him.”

The Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) informed us:

“Everyone will be raised in the condition in which he dies.”

President Morsi died whilst being trialled unjustly and will, by Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā)’s leave, be resurrected standing in front of the tyrants paid to level counterfeit accusations at him. His adversaries will not be able to go far. Who will be jeering then when the tables turn and they are the ones facing Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā)’s Court? Whilst President Morsi’s days in dark, dreary dungeons are replaced with everlasting palaces and gardens of delight, he will see his oppressors, maybe glimpse the once tyrant standing to hear the verdict in the Court of Allāh – “They will come forth, with humbled eyes…” [4] – the angels, the Prosecutors, his limbs, his witnesses, and Allāh the Judge. This is the final decree and the sweetest retribution.

The companion of the Prophet (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam), Haram b. Milhān, only declared, “I have won by the Lord of the Kaʿbah,” after the spear was plunged into his body whilst on his journey to teach the Qur’ān. [4] The believer of Yā Sīn, ‘Ḥabīb al-Najjār’ saw nothing of a ‘worldly positive result’ but was promised Paradise at the instant he was martyred. [4] Today, Morsi (raḥimahu Allāhu) joins them.

“And do not think Allāh to be heedless of what the unjust do; He only respites them to a day on which the eyes shall be fixedly open.” [5]

MOCKERY JALSAH

A MOCKERY JALSAH OF THE QUR’AAN MAJEED

THE SHAITAANIYAT OF A SO-CALLED JAMIATUL HUFFAAZ AZAADVILLE

“The Rasool will say: ‘O my Rabb! Verily, my people made this Qur’aan an object for buffeting.” “Thus have We appointed for every Nabi enemies from the criminals. Your Rabb suffices as a Guide and a Helper.” (Al-Furqaan, 30 & 31)
The programme of this deviant, miscreant so-called ‘jamiatul huffaz azaadville’ conspicuously displays the shaitaaaniyat which is being organized in the name of Allah’s Kalaam. The Qur’aan Majeed is being made a mahjoor – a football – a toy – an object of entertainment.

A fun and merrymaking, stupid ‘open air’ function is being organized to entertain the juhala audience and spectators. Munaafiqeen qaaris will be flaunting their singing skills soiling and polluting the Word of Allah Azza Wa Jal. Regarding these shaitaani qurraa’, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“The majority of the munaafiqeen of my Ummah are its qaaris.”

Allah Ta’ala has revealed the Qur’aan Majeed as a Guide for the Najaat of Muslims, not for entertainment, not for merrymaking, show, ostentation and shaitaaniyat. The entire affair being organized in the name of the Qur’aan, is shaitaaniyat (satanism). Even their recitation of the Qur’aan is motivated by shaitaani takabbur, ujub and riya. The whole mockery is a shaitaani ploy designed by Iblees for deceiving and misleading juhala in the name of the Qur’aan under ‘deeni’ cover.

The bunch of qurraa marraaeen – qaaris who recite for show, vanity and pride – all come within the purview of the Hadith which states that most of the munaafiqs (hypocrites) of the Ummah are its qaaris. They are a shameless species – scum who manipulate the Qur’aan as if it is a football. They minister to evil nafsaani desires, seeking nafsaani gratification by submitting the Kalaam of Allah Azza Wa Jal to the villainy of their lusts. These miscreants mis-manipulating the Qur’aan Majeed should reflect on the severe and fearful warnings and threats of punishment Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has sounded for qaaris. In one Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“Seek the refuge of Allah from Jubbul Huzn (the Pit of Grief).” The Sahaabah asked: “O Rasulullah! What is Jubbul Huszn?” Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “It is a valley in Jahannam. Daily, Jahannam seeks Allah’s refuge 400 times from (the intensity of the heat) of this Valley.” They asked: “O Rasulullah! Who will enter it?” He said: “It has been prepared for qaaris who display their deeds. And, verily the most abhorrent qaaris to Allah are those who visit the umaraa (the rulers and the wealthy).”
These are not idle and meaningless warnings. The current day scenarios pertaining to mock competitions, mock recitals and merrymaking ‘qur’aan’ functions such as the villainous ‘open air’ shaitaaniyat of the jamaiatul huffaaz azaadville, have been predicted by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). These Ahaadith predict these evil functions and sound the terrible punishment awaiting these munaafiq qaaris who kick and mock the Qur’aan Majeed as if it is a football.

IT IS HARAAM TO ATTEND AND TO ASSOCIATE IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER WITH THESE EVIL, SHAITAANI ‘QIRAAT’ PROGRAMMES.
