Mufti Ebrahim Desai, in a fatwa, says that it is permissible to wear a covid mask. He says that the prohibition in the Hadith falls away when the mask is worn because of a need. The need is the danger of being infected with the covid disease. He quoted from several kitaabs of the Hanafi Fuqaha. One such quotation is:

“Covering one’s mouth in Salah is prohibited due to the Hadith of Abu Dawud and others. It will only be permissible to cover at the time of need.” (Emphasis not mine)

The mufti basis the permissibility on the need “to save oneself from being infected”. Is this fatwa valid?

This is one more of the zigzag fatwas for which the wayward mufti has a penchant. There is no valid Shar’i substance in his zigzag fatwa which is designed for bootlicking the atheists and the government. This miserable mufti is a sell-out. He has become a traitor to the Deen. He mis-manipulates the texts of the Shariah for sinister agendas. The current shaitaani objective is to accord Shar’i acceptability to the baatil covid shaitaaniyat dinned into his ears by anti-Islam forces.

The Hadith and the texts of the Fuqaha are abundantly clear. With clarity the prohibition is stated. The exception is an exigency of Dhuroorat (real need), not a hallucinated need, and not a need according to the kufr theories of the atheists.

No one denies the principle of Dhuroorat. But every imaginary ‘need’ does not come within the Shariah’s concept of Dhuroorat. If there is genuine Dhuroorat, Salaat may be performed wearing only a female’s panties or even stark naked. When there is legitimate Dhuroorat in the meaning of the Shariah’s concept, then liquor and pork may also be consumed, and for such consumption there is no need for the rubbish ‘halaal’ certificates of the Carrion & Pork cartel.

The conjectured or imagined ‘need’ on which the zigzagger basis his corrupt fatwa is underlined by the kufr contagion belief which is in blatant denial of the explicit La Adwaa proclamation of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). This miserable miscreant mufti shamelessly peddles the idea of the atheist in stark denial of the Law stated by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

In view of the Shariah’s explicit negation of the kufr idea of contagion, there is absolutely no need to don the niqaab of Iblees in Salaat. Thus, the original Mas’alah remains in its place. The exception proffered by the miscreant has no basis. It is spurious and baatil, hence donning the niqaab of Iblees in Salaat is Haraam. The fear of infection is unfounded and kufr.

Furthermore, wearing the niqaab of Iblees in the current context of the circumstances is not only Makrooh, it is kufr, and it invalidates Salaat. Donning the Ibleesi niqaab is accompanied by the kufr belief of contagion. It is the kufr idea of the atheists which this miserable mufti is promoting.

The function of a true Mufti is to strengthen the bond with Allah Ta’ala, not to widen the existing chasm between the bandah and Allah Ta’ala. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Seek a fatwa from your heart.” The sincere searcher of the Truth should, with an unbiased mind, scrutinize the fatwa of this wayward mufti.

Who and what is this mufti promoting with his zigzag fatwa? The fatwa of the heart will adequately reply this question. Everyone can understand that the fatwa of permissibility for donning the niqaab of Iblees is designed to promote the theory of the atheists and to curry favour with the government. There is no Deeni objective for this confounded baatil fatwa.

He completely side steps the original purport of Rasulullah’s prohibition, and clings on to the straw of the exception on the fallacious basis of imaginary dhuroorat to peddle the wares of Bill Gates and his ilk.

The fatwa of Deoband is just as putrid as the fatwa of mufti Ebrahim Desai. Deoband is no longer a reliable institution. We scrutinize the fatwas emanating from today’s Darul Ifta if Deoband. The Janaazah of Ilm has long ago departed from Darul Uloom Deoband. Now there remains only a skeleton. Their fatwa also emphasizes on the exception instead of the prohibition stated with clarity by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

Both fatwas are bunkum. It is haraam to don the niqaab of Iblees. Salaat with the evil niqaab on, due to the kufr belief underlying it, is not valid.

22 Jamaadil Awwal 1442 – 6 January 2021

The very same kufr villainy regarding the Musaajid and the Fardh Salaat with which the Muslim community in South Africa is plagued, is afflicting the Muslim community in the U.K. A Brother lamenting the evil of the U.K. molvis, writes:

MCB (Munaafiq Council of Britain) & Bootlicking

The MCB (Munaafiq Council of Britain), a supposed national umbrella body for Muslim organisations in Britain have outlined six ‘preposterous’ steps, which UK Masajid ‘will have’ to take for a phased reopening as lockdown restrictions are eased.

This is after MCB were at the forefront, together with a group of Senior Scholars, in recommending closure of Masajid in UK well before any Government Law’s to close Places of Worship.

Even now, whilst group’s of Christian Priest have threatened to legally challenge Health Secretary regarding closure of their Churches, so-called Muslims grovel supinely and like willing Uncle Tom’s take ‘bootlicking’ quite literally to a new low – even by the hypocritical standards of UK Masajid Committee’s, Trustees, Medics and Maulvis – the majority of whom are either paid mercenaries or dumb silent lackeys.

Nevertheless, as UK Muslims are so utterly morally corrupt, spiritually bankrupt, lax and drowned in Hubb-e-dunya and Hubb-e-Jaah, such errant nonsense will now deservedly be imposed upon us because of our deeds and apathy towards our Masajid – which had undoubtedly cursed and beseeched Allah Ta’ala to cast us away from His Mercy and House – even during the blessed month of Ramadhaan.

  1. Step one of the guidance states Mosques will have to allocate a Covid Safety Officer who will engage with community members, scholars Imams, volunteers and staff.

If past few months are anything to go by, this will be the jerk and jack-in-the-box who will, sensing his moment of glory and opportunity, act as a stooge quoting fictitious rules, laws and appeasing statistics to bully and harass other Musallees into submission and compromise. None of the other committee members, trustees, musallees, maulvis or Imam’s will have spiritual stamina or mettle to stand up to him and tell him to ‘go fly a kite.’

He will milk the occasion as much as he can – until the day arrives for him to disappear into the gutter of oblivion without name or trace.

  1. Step two involves a risk assessment on the building, looking at exits and entrances to make sure they are well prepared to cope with any emergencies and have access for the disabled.

Another laughable dose of gobbledygook. All Masajid as civic, public bodies have a duty of care towards their visitors. It should take any competent person a few minutes regularly to prepare such health and safety documents – there is no need to wait for a ‘plandemic’ to draft something for the dreaded ‘doomsday’ scenario. In reality, how many Masajid have a policy and measures in place to protect themselves from a ‘New Zealand’ style Masjid Massacre? Almost all Jewish Synagogue have such a system and protocol in place – and no state body would dare challenge them.

  1. Step three involves Mosque estimating a ‘new capacity’ to ensure people can be kept two metres apart during prayer, locals have also been asked to bring their own prayer mats and Mosques will see a smaller congregations throughout the day.

Muslims may as well stay at home and pray in whatever Jamaat formation therein rather then turn up and stand like ‘scare-crows’ with their Salah faasid (rejected) for gross violation of the Hadeeth Command of “La Adwa.” What is even more ridiculous is how, barring a few exceptions, none of the Imam’s or Maulvis/Shaykh’s present will raise a murmur. Notable and supposedly famous senior Maulvi’s will convene and issue an edict to reinforce this ludicrous policy of standing metres apart. True to form, their followers will quote such ‘senior scholars’ as Sharee’ justification in diametric opposition to Hadeeth.

  1. Step four involves supplying PPE to be worn on the premises, as part of this shoe racks will no longer be used and members of the congregation will be provided with reusable bags to put their shoes in to keep close to them as they pray.

It is difficult to imagine a more ridiculous suggestion. It is so senile, downright stupid and silly that it does not merit any intelligent response. On a social-media group, one Munaafiq was even trying to justify this crass proposal by saying Musallees should pray inside the Masjid with their shoes on! This is the depth of our downfall.

  1. Step five involves training volunteers and staff who will be asked to be present at each prayer to make sure people are compliant with the social distancing measures, guiding people in and out Mosques and to disperse crowds outside of Mosques after prayers.

If the number of Musallees during last 3 months is anything to go by, there is no need for any training, especially at Fajr/Esha times, when the majority of Muslims will be sleeping or miss attendance. This is yet another excuse for hypocrites to harass the handful of sincere Musallees and discourage them from spending time in the Masjid.

  1. Step six involves keeping an open communication with the wider community, including the non-Muslim community in their areas to keep them informed on what is being done to safeguard them.

So Musallees who attend the Masjid are somehow to be viewed as possible ‘virus transmitters,’ whilst those who frequent shopping malls, casinos, bars, brothels, sporting events, beaches, theme parks and restaurants, etc., have no obligation whatsoever to update non-Muslim Communities on what is being done to safeguard them?

Sadly all our institutions, Muslim and non-Muslim, as well as the family unit, are husks of their former selves.

They all are a shadow of what they were 50 years ago. All our Masajid and Madrais were pathetically anxious to close themselves and now reluctant to re-open fully despite public tiredness and a willingness to do so. The spiritual stamina of the Muslim Community, as well as Imaan of many, has now been sapped. Allah Ta’ala protect us, but it does appear, matters will only degenerate further as these silly measures will not only be adopted, but promoted in some form or another, by leading Scholars, who for fear of losing their popularity, perceived influence and bakhsises, will readily conjure up something similar, dressed in Deeni rhetoric at one of their get togethers in the name of Ilm Deen.

The MCB are so pathetic, whenever any of their spokesmen or the new breed of celebrity maulvis appear on Media after for example a ‘so-called terror attack,’ they get ripped to shreds by News presenters. Yes, in front of Muslims, they are full of bravado and gusto, these paper tigers are only adept at issuing unnecessary, futile and dopey edicts.

Allah Ta’ala have Mercy upon us. (End of the Brother’s Lament)

We are most assuredly in close proximity to Qiyaamah. The predictions of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) pertaining to the Ulama-e-Soo have to incumbently materialize. We are today seeing this truth which testifies to the authenticity of Nubuwwat.

The entire world today is proliferated with evil scholars for dollars who are suffering from the twin diseases of hubb-e-jah and hubb-e-maal. This combination of diseases is called hubb-e-dunya which Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said transforms Muslims into rubbish, flotsam and scum.

The Musaajid are being gradually transformed into churches to fulfil another prediction of our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) who said that Qiyaamah will be only when ‘Muslims’ worship the cross inside the Musaajid.

The Darul Ulooms in all countries are mercenary institutions. The Knowledge of the Deen is being imparted for worldly objectives, and this too is a sign of Qiyaamah. Even our once great Darul Uloom Deoband is slithering into the very same abyss of kufr and ruin in which Jaamiah Azhar has long ago destroyed itself. This tide of kufrization of the Ummah cannot be stemmed. It will continue raging in preparation of the stage for Dajjaal when the molvis and sheikhs of that era will be Dajjaal’s standard-bearers. Today these molvis and sheikhs are already standard-bearers of kufr. May Allah Ta’ala be merciful and helpful to the true Mu’mineen.

13 Shawwaal 1441 – 6 June 2020

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“The Saalihoon will depart (from this dunya) one after the other (in quick succession). Then will remain only the hufaalah (rubbish / scum / flotsam) such as the chaff of dates or barley. Allah will have no care whatsoever for them.”

Shaikhul Hadith of Darul Uloom Deoband, Hadhrat Maulana Saeed Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh) passed away on the 25th night of Ramadhaan, 1441 (19 May 2020) at about 3 a.m. After having dedicated his life to teaching Hadith, Allah Ta’ala granted him the most auspicious occasion of one of the last ten Nights of Ramadhaan.

Hadhrat Shaikhul Hadith is among the very last of the Ulama-e-Haq remaining in this world flooded with ulama-e-soo. Darul Uloom Deoband has indeed lost a Great Soul. The Darul Ulooms all over the world, including Deoband, are mere skeletons of their former grandeur. These institutions are no longer the Madaaris which were established by the noble Akaabireen for the attainment of the objectives of the Aakhirat.

We narrate here some episodes which may be interesting to such Muslims who still have an affinity with the Ulama-e-Haq and who had some relationship with Shaikhul Hadith.

* Hadhrat Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh) was the Ustaadh of Mr. Taha Karan of the Carrion body, MJC. Some years ago Karan had written a fong kong article to show that it is permissible for women to cut their hair. In refutation the Ulama-e-Haq published a book, Tresses of Jannat which is available on our website. Hard copies are also available.

We had written to Shaikhul Hadith drawing his attention to the extreme deviation of his student, Karan. The following is the response of Hadhrat Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh):

“Maulana Taha Karaan Sahib is a graduate of Daarul Uloom Deoband. He had studied under me. He had a good ability. In Dorah (the Final Year) he attained first position. His father, Maulana Yusuf Karaan is also a graduate of Daarul Uloom Deoband. His isti’daad (ability) too was very good, and he (i.e. Maulana Yusuf Karaan) is my colleague.

As you have written, Maulana Taha Karaan Saahib after having studied here (at Daarul Uloom) went to Egypt and there too he pursued studies. As you have written, having gone to Egypt he set aside the Maslak and Mashrab of his Ulama of Deoband. Now what is there to lament about?”
(Our comment: By this, Hadhrat Saeed Ahmad Sahib implies that what his student has said on the issue of hair-cutting should not be attributed to the Ulama of Deoband. He acquired his views from elsewhere, not from the Ulama of Deoband.)

Hadhrat Maulana Saeed Ahmad Sahib continues:

“He has imported liberalism from Egypt. Furthermore, he is not a Mufti. Neither did he learn to be a Mufti here (at Daarul Uloom) nor in Egypt. He has begun to interfere with Masaa-il (of the Shariah) merely on the strength of his own knowledge. Thus, his writings could be called articles. It cannot be described as Fatwa.”

There are many Usool (Principles) for (competency in) Fatwa. It is obligatory on a Mufti to take into consideration such principles (of Ifta). Awareness of such principles is the first obligation of a Mufti. For example in his writings he differentiates between Haraam and Makrooh whereas these terms are technical terminology. If the prohibition of things is substantiated on the basis of the Qur’aan, the Ulama describe it with the term, Haraam, and if the prohibition is substantiated on the basis of Ahaadith, the term Karaahat (being Makrooh) is used. But in Urf this differentiation is not made. The word Haraam is used for Makrooh Tahrimi as well. This reality is not in front of Maulana Taha.

Similarly, he has understood the act of the Azwaaj-e-Muttahharaat (the Holy Wives of Rasulullah – sallallahu alayhi wasallam), which was restricted to aged widows, to be the general hukm of the Shariat (i.e. applicable to all women). However, he (i.e. Taha) did not reflect on this fact that the other Ladies of Islam of that age did not adopt that act (the assumed hair-cutting) as their practice. (As a warning Hadhrat wrote the following Qur’aanic aayat after his comment):

“Verily, in this is a lesson for the People of Intelligence.”

In addition, he (Taha) has not correctly understood the riwaayat (Hadith narration) pertaining to tashabbuh (emulation) of males. In this age the women who have the desire for hair-cutting, entertain this fancy on account of fashion. This, in fact, is tashabbuh with aliens.

I have sent your letter to Daarul Ifta and the answer is annexed hereto. Muslims should repose reliance on only this Fatwa (of Daarul Uloom). They should not accord any reliance to the research of Shaikh Taha Karaan.

Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri, Khaadim (Servant) of Daarul Uloom

3rd Rabiul Awwal 1424(5th May 2003)

(End of Hadhrat Maulana Saeed Ahmad’s letter.)

There is much ibrat (lesson for reflection) for Mr. Taha Karan in the unambiguous Naseehat of his Ustaadh. There is no need for further comment. Shaikhul Hadith Sahib has spoken with profound clarity.

* About 2 or 3 years ago Hadhrat Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh) visited South Africa. On that occasion, the NNB jaahil / munaafiq clique was his host. Shaikhul Hadith had expressed the desire to meet the molvi of The Majlis. These miserable characters ensured by crook that the meeting does not take place, hence Shaikhul hadith did not meet us.

* Shaikhul hadith again visited South Africa. This time his host was Mufti E. M. H. Salejee of Estcourt. Shaikhul Hadith expressed the same desire. Shaikhul Hadith accompanied by Mufti Salejee Sahib came to meet us in Port Elizabeth.

Hadhrat Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh) said personally to this writer: “I had two wishes: (1) To meet Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf Binnuri (Rahmatullah alayh), and (2) To meet you (i.e. the molvi of The Majlis). My first wish was not fulfilled. Due to circumstances I was unable to meet Hadhrat Binnuri. My wish to meet you has been fulfilled.”
After emerging from our Musjid in Malabar (Musjidul Fuqara), Shaikhul Hadith saw a prominent notice on the outside door of the Musjid. In a nutshell, the notice stated that Salaat with jeans and t-shirt is not valid, and that whoever performs Salaat with such lewd clothes, should repeat the Salaat. Commenting, Hadhrat Palanpuri said:

“I too propagate against such lewd dress, especially for Salaat. However, I would have phrased the notice (as follows): “A person who wears jeans and t-shirt is like a naked person, and the Salaat of a naked person is not valid.”

* At our home, he said to the molvi of The Majlis. “You are free. You can say and write as you please while I in Darul Ifta have to contend with eight Muftis.”

Shaikhul Hadith implied that he was not totally free and had to take into consideration the attitudes of the other Muftis. Alhamdulillah, by Allah’s fadhl, we at The Majlis are not encumbered with such considerations and restraints. Allah Ta’ala has left us unfettered to proclaim the Haqq in the manner Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) advocated: “Proclaim the Truth even if it is bitter.”
May Allah Ta’ala bestow lofty mansions to Hadhrat Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Saeed Palanpuri (Rahmatullah alayh).

2 Shawwaal 1441 – 26 May 2020

The reason for this enquiry is to have a proper and an unbiased understanding of the causes of the ikhtilaaf, operational approach and how the respected elders of the ‘opposing’ sides dealt with and treated each other. We also wish to defend ourselves from biased and wild attacks levelled by certain quarters.

1)  Briefly, please explain what caused such huge differences and disputes which necessitated the split and the formation of opposing institutions regarding both the abovementioned Darul Ulooms.

2)  Are there any marked differences in the operation and management of both sides in both Darul Ulooms?

3)  We believed that Mashaaikh from each quarter accorded such love and respect normally witnessed and demonstrated by only pious Mashaaikh and Elders of the past. Could Maulana throw some light on this.  We do hope that your reply will further enhance the image of the Institutes and Ulema in our sight. Was-salaam

(End of the query)

The concise replies to your questions are:

(1) Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Hubbud Dunya (love of the world) is the root of every evil.” Westerners, making a slight change in this narration say: “The love of money is the root of all evil.” According to Islam, everything besides Thikrullah and whatever aids Thikrullah, is the dunya, and Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: Ad-Dunya jeefah (The world is carrion).

It was this jeefah – the love of worldly carrion – which had caused the lamentable and heart-rending split in these August Institutions. Allah Ta’ala was given a back seat and the nafs took over, hence the daggers were drawn to cut the throats of one another.

(2) There is no marked difference in the modus operandi and systems of the opposing Darul Uloom camps. They teach the very same Aqeedah and Shariah.

(3) You are deluded in your understanding. If the respect and love which had diffused every capillary of the former Aakaabir who had established these wonderful Institutions had existed in the Ulama who were responsible for the fracas, then the satanic splits would not have occurred. But the nafs demanded the fulfilment of its dictates of hubbud dunya/jah and hub-e-maal, hence respect and love were expunged from the equation. Brother to understand these satanic developments it is necessary to be on the ground where we were and saw the  unravelling shaitaaniyat at first hand.

We  say with sadness that  there is no conundrum in the differences  between the then senior Ulama of  Darul Uloom Deoband and Mazaahirul Uloom which led to the shaitaani split up of these two august Institutions of Ilm-e-Deen.

The one and only  cause for the splits was Hubbud dunya/jah and Hubbul Maal –the love for the world and for name, fame and money. The very same evil has caused the split in the Tablighi Jamaat. However, regarding the Tabligh Jamaat, an additional factor was their haraam ghulu’. These twin diseases had overwhelmed the intelligence of the Ulama, hence they became forgetful of the Objective of Life and of the Hisaab in Qiyaamah. They hankered after the jeefah (carrion) of the dunya, hence they became implacable enemies.

The  splits were not motivated by Deeni  objectives. The Deen was the furthest from the minds of the contending Ulama.  Brother, we are  in the era known as Aakhiruz Zamaan. These kinds of fitnah have been predicted by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Instead  of being Guiding Stars in the darkness for the Ummah, the Ulama have become pirates and  misguides.

The Ulama are concerned with their mini-empires, their  particular Darul Uloom buildings. They  lack  vision. They are not concerned with the Ummah burning in the fires of fisq, fujoor, bid’ah, kufr and fitnah.

Darul Uloom Deoband had committed one of the worst acts of Shaitaaniyat when the Ulama had organized the 100 year  merrymaking festival to celebrate the centenary of Darul Uloom Deoband. It was a  haraam celebration from beginning to end. It was a  lamentable and grievous betrayal of  the Deen and of the Maqaasid for which the Akaabir had established that august Institution.

Brother, Ilm is no longer imparted for the Pleasure of Allah Ta’ala. The objective   of Ilm today has become satanic. It is being imparted for worldly objectives, and this was predicted by our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Since the hearts iof the Ulama of this era  are corrupt to the core, their brains have become fossilized

and incapable of seeing the light of Hidaayat. All fear for Allah Ta’ala has departed from them. Therefore they have become a Jamaat of Bootlickers – bootlicking and emulating the Yahood and Nasaara right into the “lizard’s hole”.

The Ahaadith are replete with  predictions of the type of Ulama-e-Soo’ of the later times –  times such as  we are currently experiencing. Just imagine, Ulama or so-called Ulama or Munaafiqs posing as Ulama and masquerading as Muslims – going  to the kuffaar court to plead for the Musaajid to  remain closed – pleading for the Daily Fardh  and Jumuah Salaat to be banned, and trying with might and main  to prove to the kuffaar court that the Houses of Allah are the worst spreaders of disease.

In former  times, every Madrasah was a veritable Khaanqah and every Ustaad was a Shaikh who diligently   kept under observation the Akhlaaq of his students. But the Darul Ulooms are now staffed by only mercenaries. The only  objectives are the dunya and the nafs. That is the root cause of the problems and the infighting in every  Madrasah.  The contending groups are jockeying for cheap and stupid power  to gain cheap and stupid publicity and fuloos (carrion money).

This was the only cause for the break up of Darul Uloom Deoband, Mazaahirul Uloom and for the Tabligh Jamaat. O our Brother! Cry and complain to Allah Ta’ala. May Allah Ta’ala have mercy on this errant and lost Ummah.

As bitter as the reality is, the Haqq has to be proclaimed. We do not belong to those  about whom the Qur’aan Majeed says:

“They take their  Ulama and their Buzroogs as gods besides Allah, and also  Isaa Ibn Maryam (they take him for a rabb).”

12 Ramadhaan 1441 – 6 May 2020
