Shy of getting too direct, South Asian poets often get lyrical about the various attires and garments of their real or imagined beloveds. One crucial part of the dress that never finds a mention in our poetry is the naarra or drawstring. A society where adab — respect or modesty — is a central value, any mention of the humble naarra is best avoided.

But the elusive naarra, usually well hidden in baggy trousers, suddenly found a prominent place in public discourse recently. Someone ‘discovered’ that a newly inaugurated store, carrying the brand name of Maulana Tariq Jamil, was selling naarras at a price that was 10 times higher than the normal market value.

In another twist to the tale, the naarra that had gripped the imagination of Pakistan’s social media users for over a week did not even exist. The store, MTJ-Tariq Jamil, clarified that they did not manufacture naarras and their website had “never placed any such article for sale.”

One of Pakistan’s most celebrated Islamic evangelists was under attack, yet again, after he had decided to lend his name as a brand to a clothing chain (this was hardly the first, or likely last, time the Maulana found himself trending on social media and on television). A religious scholar, said his detractors, should not be a commercial brand in today’s neoliberal marketplace. Many find his store upscale, catering only to the rich only, while he teaches a simpler way of life and the denial of luxuries day in and day out.

Maulana Tariq Jamil is an enigma to many. Millions look up to him and sing his praises as a tolerant man of religion. His detractors claim he is an orator rather than a scholar and is out to rake in fame, political influence and fortune. Can he be explained in easy terms?

According to Ahmet T Kuru, a well-known US-based Turkish scholar, during the golden period of Muslim societies (8th-11th century), most religious scholars were children of traders and funded their religious activities through their business activities. They used to be extremely shy of forming any bond with the state and its officials.

The Maulana, it appears, wants to have the best of both worlds. He wants to be a trader-religious-scholar, like those in the ‘golden age,’ but he also wants to enjoy close connections between the ulema, particularly himself, and powerful state officials. Incidentally, such an ulema-state alliance, according to Kuru, was a major reason for the decay of Muslim societies.

Many of Tariq Jamil’s opponents find it amusing — while his detractors find it downright outrageous — that he has transferred his carefully calibrated personal brand of a popular religious scholar to a retail marketing brand. He is certainly trying new things that many of his celebrated predecessors had kept away from.***

During the seven decades of our national life, we have had many kinds of maulanas. We had orators such as Ataullah Shah Bukhari, who would keep his audiences mesmerised with his speech for the whole night; we had scholars such as Syed Maududi, whose thoughts left a deep imprint on political Islamist movements all over the world; we had a rabble-rouser, the ‘red maulana’, Maulana Bhashani, who Islamicised socialism and mobilised the poor; we also had sectarian militant religious leaders such as Haq Nawaz Jhangavi, who fanned the flames of sectarian hatred in country. Last, but certainly not the least, very recently we had Maulana Khadim Rizvi, whose meteoric rise in religious politics and political legacy we are still trying to understand.

Though as popular as these glorious figures of the pulpit, if not more, Maulana Tariq Jamil belongs to a very different category. He is associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat, an international proselytising movement that has never produced a public figure before him — not because it did not have one, but because the group has always avoided the media limelight as an act of faith. But Tariq Jamil is not one to shy away from the limelight.

Tariq Jamil’s half-a-century-long relationship with the Tableeghi Jamaat defines his identity, ideas and style of oratory. He, however, is an unlikely Tableeghi in many ways, and there are signs that he has been evicted from the hallowed circle of the Tableeghi elders and is no longer welcome to deliver a speech at the group’s annual congregations.

He has tried to downplay this impression. “I have stepped back [only] due to my ill health,” he explained in a television interview. “[Otherwise], I have spent my whole life in Tableegh.” And quite a life it has been.

UNLIKELY BEGINNINGS

Unlike many religious scholars, Tariq Jamil was not born in a religious family and did not study at a madressah as a child. Belonging to a well-off upper-caste landholding family of South Punjab, he traces his ancestry to the 12th century near-mythical ruler of Ajmer, Prithviraj Chauhan, who was defeated by Sultan Mohammad Ghauri. His

later ancestors were far less eminent minor rajas of his native town Tulamba, before they were defeated by Sher Shah Suri.

His own father and forefathers were large landholders. In a speech at his madressah two years ago, a teary-eyed Maulana narrated how his elders used to mistreat members of the lower caste families. He contrasts this by then talking about a time in life when, in a willing act of renunciation, he would use a brick for a pillow and not change his dress for weeks in the hot month of June. Here one may find the universal formula of evangelist preachers, which emphasises a dramatic transformation.

Like children of many landholding families, Tariq Jamil was sent to a school in Lahore. From school he moved on to the prestigious Government College Lahore and then to Punjab’s most prestigious medical college, King Edward Medical College. (Both colleges are now universities). But rather than completing his MBBS, Tariq Jamil decided to hop on to the salvation train of the Tableeghi Jamaat.

The great transformation that Tariq Jamil went through is a legend among Tableeghi activists. Tariq Jamil joined a friend on a three-day preaching mission, called seh roza in the Jamaat’s language. Every serious Tableeghi is supposed to set aside three days a month for such a mission. During these missions, a group of Tableeghis stays at a community mosque, doing rounds in the neighbourhood and preaching at the mosque.

An equally important part of the mission involves peer learning within the group. Learning from the example of seniors and paying attention to prayers are the main path to transforming for newly recruited Tableeghis. Community members, who are the main target of the Tableeghi missions, are transformed when they also become part of the Jamaat and join similar missions. In a way, the Tableeghi Jamaat works like a ponzi scheme, new members recruit more members and the cycle of recruitment keeps growing.

Not many can match his influence and following. The subscribers on his two YouTube channels exceed 13 million. He has his own official apps on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The Maulana’s services have also been officially recognised and he received the President’s Pride of Performance Award this year.

A much longer preaching mission is called a chilla, where a group of preachers leaves on a mission for 40 days. No Tableeghi is considered a serious part of the group unless he joins a chilla group every year. However, Tableeghis don’t stop at this. Those who want to dedicate themselves to the cause can go on a mission for four months, a year, or even dedicate their whole lives to the Jamaat.

Instead of returning back from the seh roza, Tariq Jamil went ahead and joined a four-month-long mission. This mission turned him into a dedicated member of the Jamaat and there has been no turning back after half a century, from his side at least. While returning from the mission, Maulana met a young man who advised him to become a religious scholar instead of a doctor.

“A doctor was a person of high stature in those days,” Maulana explained to a sizable audience in a February 2019 speech, “while a maulvi was past-tareen gandagi ka keerra [the lowliest worm of garbage] in society. In our rural set-up, a maulvi was a mere kammi — a low-grade menial worker — at par in status with an ironsmith, potter or washerman.” Still, Tariq Jamil decided to become a maulvi rather than a doctor. On the fateful day of November 23, 1972, his father evicted him from his house for a year for making such a horrible decision.

Leaving King Edward Medical College, Tariq Jamil joined the Jamia Arabia, a madressah at Raiwind, where he studied the Dars-i-Nizami curriculum that has been taught at South Asian madressahs since the 18th century. Maulana has not shared many details about the eight to nine years of his life at the madressah. Meanwhile, his brother Tahir Kamal completed his medical education and became a cardiologist, joining the high rank that the Maulana had rejected for the sake of religion.

TABLEEGH OVER SCHOLARSHIP

Maulana has never revealed what degree he received at the madressah. However, he is not recognised as a mufti or a serious aalim (scholar) by his fellow Deobandi scholars, some of whom criticise him for being a lightweight in religious learning.

Maulana does not disagree: “I read a lot but I did not become a mujtahid like you,” a smiling Maulana once told a group of religious scholars at a madressah. “[This is because] I did not question what I learnt from my teachers and I have the same attitude even today.” This mystic, anti-intellectual attitude is typical of a Tableeghi activist. Interestingly though, he has founded and supports an institute that offers a six-year multidisciplinary Alimiyyah (scholar) programme.

Still, even the Maulana’s most ardent supporters lament his lack of emphasis on authentic scholarly sources. “One [unfortunate] aspect of his glorious struggle is the fact that his understanding of the Holy Quran and Hadith is shallow,” notes one of his admirers from Srinagar, Imtiaz Abdul Qadir, in an article celebrating his achievements on an Islamic website. “Instead of these sources, we find an emphasis on unauthentic stories, wazaaif [chants], and non-authoritative topics and traditions.”

As a religious leader, Maulana Tariq Jamil carries the identity of a khateeb — an orator. This class of religious leaders are known for their art of speech rather than scholarly pursuits. Their source of charisma is rooted mainly in their art of public speaking. Ataullah Shah Bukhari (1892-1961) was perhaps the most celebrated member of this group, though he was also known for his religio-political activism.

On many occasions, Tariq Jamil has come under attack from leading Sunni scholars for “fabricating” or distorting religious stories. Sheikh Muhammad Khair Muhammad, popularly known as Sheikh Makki, a Hanafi scholar of Pakistani origin who teaches at the Masjid al-Haram that surrounds the Ka’aba, accused Tariq Jamil of being a charlatan for narrating the famous story of Prophet Yusuf incorrectly. “Everyone has become a maulvi,” he said in a speech deriding Tariq Jamil. “Anyone can put a piece of cloth around his neck, grow his hair and claim to be a maulvi, even if he has not read the qaida [alphabet primer].”***

Established in 1926 in India as an off-shoot of the Deoband movement, Tableeghi Jamaat is not about scholarship but transformation within the Muslim community. This transformation often happens through the tools that Tariq Jamil uses, not through the scholarly activities. During its small, as well as long, missions, the Tableeghi Jamaat relies on only one book: the Fazail-i-Aamal — a book that is full of the miracles of saints. For this reason perhaps, a different book — Riazus Saliheen — is taught to members of Arab origin. The Jamaat not only avoids scholarship but also scholars and scholarly debates, often angering the ulema who find their authority challenged.

The Jamaat’s single-minded focus on Tableegh, or proselytising, has earned it criticism even from some leading Deobandi scholars. According to these scholars, instead of proselytising the religion (Tableegh-i-Deen), the group has ended up creating a religion of proselytism (Deen-i-Tableegh). Political Islamists also criticise it for abandoning worldly attachments and preferring instead to surrender themselves to the mercy of God.

The late spiritual leader Tuan Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat (a former head of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party and a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband in India) summed up this criticism in the following words: “What I don’t accept about them is that they are too influenced by their history and their origin. [The] Tablighi Jamaat began in India and I find too many Hindu ideas and practices in their way of life, like begging and staying in mosques.”

But the Maulana does not conform to what he declares are stereotypes about the Tableeghi Jamaat. According to him, the Jamaat demands that you create a balance, it does not demand you to abandon the world. “If someone follows these things, it is his choice,” he explained in a recent television interview.

The Maulana is no Ibrahim bin Adham, the king of Balkh who abandoned the throne to become a Sufi saint. He is still a Rajput Sahu landlord with his SUV, large mansion-like house, entourage of servants and a comfortable way of life. This lifestyle may not match with many members of the Tableeghi Jamaat, but it does not differ much from many religious leaders who acquired their wealth after becoming prominent leaders.

MAKING A NAME FOR HIMSELF

The Maulana’s detractors try to portray him as a seeker of fame and fortune. Last year, he performed the nikah ceremony at what was termed the most ostentatious marriage in Pakistan’s history, where the two matchmaking business families allegedly spent some 2,000 million rupees, according to some reports circulated on the media. While the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) sent tax notices to the two families, the Maulana was also accused of having received 10 million rupees for gracing the occasion.

A furious Tariq Jamil called the media “Dajjal and Kazab” (the Antichrist and a false prophet) for making such allegations. The Maulana explained that he enjoyed a two-decades-long friendship with the families and did not receive any remuneration from them for performing the nikah ceremony. According to him, the families had spent only 100 million on the marriage. Though it was israaf (extravagance), according to the Maulana, it was not a very high amount considering that the two families were billionaires.

Tariq Jamil’s success in reaching out to the powerful elite was seen as an asset. And his huge popularity is clearly seen as an asset by state officials as well. His close association with them can be seen as a mutually beneficial relationship.

The Maulana also explained that he goes to all kinds of places and meets all kinds of people for the sake of his mission. “I don’t have any hesitation in going anywhere, because I have to convey my message. I have to convey the message of Allah. I disagree that one should not go to such events. Perhaps, you should not go as a participant, but one can go there for a cause.”

Maulana has certainly gone to places where no religious person would like to be seen dead.

He is admired and mocked in equal measure for his work in the red light area in his hometown. “There is a 200-year-old residential area of prostitutes [in Tulamba Town] that was set up in 1818 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh,” the Maulana once said. “I worked there tirelessly for 10 years. I started giving them stipends and helped them leave their profession. There were 235 girls in the profession and I used to give them four million rupees a month.”

For his detractors, Maulana’s association with women is his soft underbelly.

“He is the worst zindeeq [misinterpreter of religion] so far,” stated Mufti Zarwali in a speech. Zarwali was a Deobandi mufti, also popular on social media, who died recently. “He calls [actress] Meera his daughter. [In fact,] he has the same ancestry as Meera.” These comments made the Maulana cry in public and explain his family’s glories in many speeches.

In Pakistan, the Maulana also stands apart due to his apparent respect for all religions and denominations. He explains his attitude in these words: “Allah has given me wealth that I want to share before I die. I do not have hatred in my heart against anyone — on the basis of religion, denomination, caste or identity. I hate alcohol but not the one who drinks alcohol. I hate fornication but not a fornicator. I hate lies but not a liar. I hate wrong beliefs but not the person who holds wrong beliefs. I love everyone.”

Extending love to people of a different sect has been a no-go area for religious scholars in Pakistan. Many Deobandi scholars raise objections to the Maulana’s open acceptance of the Shia community and his Shia majlis-like speeches about the Karbala tragedy.

In 2013, when sectarian tensions were high in Gilgit city, the Maulana chose to visit the city’s largest Imambargah where he made a speech that is still appreciated by the city’s Shia community. “This speech was a turning point in sectarian relations in the city,” says Shabbir Mir, a Gilgit-based journalist. “Maulana in his speech proved that Shias were not only Muslims, but a superior sect of Muslims,” he adds with a smile.

The city’s most prominent Shia scholar reciprocated the gesture by attending the Tableeghi congregation for which the Maulana was in the city. “It changed the atmosphere in the city completely, and left a lasting impact. Such a thing had not happened for a long time,” says Mir.

THE INFLUENTIAL PREACHER

Though Maulana was popular among followers of the Tableeghi Jamaat for decades, the educated middle class noticed him only after the Pakistan cricket team came under his influence. It was quite a spectacle, when the nation’s star cricketers started growing beards and were spotted on Tableeghi missions. Even a Christian cricketer converted to Islam and soon started sporting a beard.

A wholesale conversion of cricketers to the Tableeghi Jamaat linked the cricket team’s performance with their newfound religiosity. It was reported that cricketers were performing badly because they kept awake at night to pray for their success rather than taking a good night’s sleep.

From star cricketers, the Maulana moved on to influence star politicians. The Tableeghi Jamaat does encourage members of the powerful elite to join its ranks. Many high-ranking state officials, including some prime ministers, have joined the annual Raiwind congregation on the last day, when hours-long duas (prayers) are made by a senior Tableeghi elder. The Jamaat has also succeeded in bringing some retired generals and bureaucrats into its fold.

Tariq Jamil’s success in reaching out to the powerful elite was seen as an asset. And his huge popularity is clearly seen as an asset by state officials as well. His close association with them can be seen as a mutually beneficial relationship. Maulana’s endorsement, even a picture with him, extends an aura of religiosity to members of Pakistan’s political elite, who have always used religion as a major source of their legitimacy. They also find him valuable in extending the state’s messages to the religiously inclined masses. It is hard to guess who benefits more from the relationship — members of the political elite or the Tableeghi Jamaat and its mission.

However, this is not what the reclusive elders of the Tableeghi Jamaat had bet on. The last straw came when the Maulana almost joined the current ruling party, extending divine endorsement to Imran Khan. “He is the first ruler who has presented the concept of Madina’s welfare state. I salute him,” the Maulana stated at a symposium attended by the prime minister in 2018.

“We have been blessed with a very good ruler. All of you should pray for him,” he stated at another event some months later, and repeated these sentiments many times. His teary bayaan (speech) and dua for Imran Khan during a live telethon for the Ehsaas programme last year made him a controversial figure among those who oppose the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). He has since been a regular visitor to the Prime Minister House.

The Maulana says he is not happy with receiving zakat to fund his madressah. He thinks that the income from his clothing brand — that he does not manage himself — will free him from the need for receiving donations.

This position has, once again, perplexed some religious leaders. “What is wrong in receiving alms? Darul Uloom Deoband and all madressahs run on donations,” Maulana Tanveerul Haq Thanvi said in a video, responding to Tariq Jamil’s statements. “Those who used to criticise maulvis for collecting donations, now collect donations themselves. Even our prime minister collects donations.”

But Tariq Jamil does not want to run his madressahs like a ‘lowly’ rural maulvi who collects grain from landholders at every harvest. He went out to convert celebrities to the mission of Tableegh, but became one of the country’s most influential celebrities himself.

Not many can match his influence and following. The subscribers on his two YouTube channels exceed 13 million. He has his own official apps on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The Maulana’s services have also been officially recognised and he received the President’s Pride of Performance Award this year. In a way, he has become the Maulana Laureate of Pakistan.

The ‘lowly’ maulvi has achieved a far higher stature than his cardiologist brother. “I did not know that one day so many doctors would sit in front of me to listen to my speeches,” he says in one of his speeches shared on his YouTube channel.

If the Maulana’s father were alive, he would probably change his views about his son’s choice of career and accept him for what he is — a Maulana for our times.

He called it ”Islam kayahi sabaq hai” (This is in fact the lesson of Islam.) for Muslims who perform final funeral rites for the najis kuffaar who are dying in India. In another clip he lavishes praise on a father and his son who is an Indian film actor being generous. He says he guarantees Allah loves these two faasiqs because of their generosity. These two subscribe to ”Ganga-Jamuni” Aqeedah. What is the status of Tariq Jameel?


A. In several publications have we explained the shaitaani status of this evil agent of Dajjaal. Tariq Jameel is not a Muslim. That is why he excretes so much fisq, fujoor and kufr from his mouth. His prayers for the Hindu mushrikeen perishing in the Athaab of Allah Ta’ala is explicit kufr. Praising fussaaq and fujjaar film actors is only to be expected of a character who professes to be a Muslim while in reality he is a munaafiq.

Basically what they are saying is: For years they have been calling people towards a ‘baatil extremist deen’ and now they have hit their epiphany and realized that it was all wrong. (From one ghulu’ to another ghulu’. The Tabligh Jamaat’s gravest malady is its ghulu. It is this evil malady which has ruined the Jamaat by deflecting it from the Straight Path of the Shariah. – The Majlis)

Do they even realize what they are telling the public? They stood on a mountain of sand all these years? Nobody realizes, not even their close aides, and no one bothers to ask them. So for all these years you were wrong and now you realize you are right? How can we trust you? (The proof of untrustworthiness is conspicuously portrayed by the two factions standing with daggers drawn to slit each other’s throat. I feel even though they are giving 2-3-4 bayans daily, and taking Allah’s name on youtube, facebook, videos, tv, in reality they have forgotten Allah, so Allah has made them forget themselves.

The book that brought millions towards deen should be replaced now.

Why is it that when these maulanas and muftis become celebrities, their views start to change, they adopt a moderate ‘deen’; a lot of haraam becomes halaal. They start to believe they are divinely inspired and they know everything because they are dealing with public, because they are ‘famous’. They refuse to listen to anyone.

Like the incident of Tariq Jameel with Aamir Khan, the actor you wrote about. The ulama told him: Hazrat this is your field you know best what to reply.” Then Tariq Jameel was ‘divinely’ inspired while engaging in wudhu. (They are Devil-Incarnate, hence Rasulullah –Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) – feared these ulama-e-soo’ more than Dajjaal – The Majlis)
Did the ulama around him feel any shame in saying “this is your field”. What have you ulama been doing all these years? What did you do in Madrasah for so many years? (They are shayaateenul ins. Devils, especially human devils are bereft of even a vestige of shame. –The Majlis)
The result is that Tariq Jameel believes no one knows the public, the actors, the film industry, musicians, politicians, rulers better than him, and no one can give them dawah better than him. He will sit with Imran Khan and his wife on the same table and have ‘iftaar’ and dinner, and ulama will clap and kiss his forehead. (What else can be expected from an Agent of Dajjaal – The Majis)
When Tariq Jameel’s mistakes are pointed out, the usual defence is that he is a ‘khateeb’. Does being a khateeb mean that you are not a Muslim? You won’t be answerable on Qiyaamat day? You are free to say anything you want to, and that the Shariah doesn’t apply on you?

I read a hadith along the lines that the safest person in times of fitnah will be the one who nobody knows. When he shifts from one place to another nobody asks about him in the previous neighbourhood. It seems that the maqsad of these people is to make everything halaal, undermine ibadaat, nafl ibadaat, taqwa, zuhd, and indulge in all kinds of haraam, futility, haraam and mushtabah food, facebook, youtube, movies, make everything halaal and ridicule those who want to live a life of taqwa. (Nothing surprising. Agents of Iblees have no other occupation other than the profession of undermining the Deen. – The Majlis)
The fatwa you posted from Jamiat-ur-Rasheed in which they stated that watching the Turkish drama is permissible, is a prime example of their hearts being sealed. These muftis have become so blind that they don’t even realize that Allah has made them blind. Therefore, they are unable to differentiate between halaal and haraam. They make everything halaal in the guise of ‘dawah’. Their logic is make deen ‘easy’; don’t make deen difficult. They ridicule even the semblance of Taqwa which other sincere Ulama have – the Ulama who are firm on Amr Bil Ma’roof Nahy Anil Munkar. Please comment.

The following Hadith of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is adequate comment for the villainy, filth, fisq, fujoor and kufr of the vast majority of molvis and bunkum muftis of this age:

“An age will dawn when nothing of Islam will remain, but its name. Nothing of the Qur’aan will remain, but its text. The Musaajid will be ornate structures devoid of hidaayat. Their Ulama will be the worst under the canopy of the sky. From them will emerge fitnah, and the fitnah will rebound on them.”

A Buzroog commented that: under the canopy of the sky there are even the Yahood, Nasaara, Mushrikeen apes and pigs.” Thus these types of fraud molvis and dajjaali muftis are worse than even the kuffaar, apes and swines. Apes and swines do not tamper and destroy Allah’s Deen. But this Ibleesi task has fallen to the lot of these ulama-e-soo’ who have surpassed the ulama-e-soo’ of the Yahood and Nasaara in villainy and kufr.

They are absolutely bereft of the slightest vestige of Khauf-e-Ilaahi. That is why they are able to so brazenly and flagrantly trample on the Sunnah and undermine the Shariah most recklessly and shamelessly. With their shaitaaniyat they convey the idea that they will not die – there will be no accountability for them. Deep in their hearts is embedded nifaaq. These shaitaani molvis and muftis are in fact worse than the juhala westernized zanaadaqah who parade as Muslims. The harm of these shaitaani molvis and muftis far exceed the damage caused to the Deen by the Zanaadaqah modernists – the secularists who have set themselves up as ‘mujtahideen’.

The scenario is not set to improve. We are on a head-on collision with Qiyaamah. The Signs of Qiyaamah mentioned by our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) have to materialize. The cartel of Dajjaals such as Tariq Jameel, Menk, Suliman Moolla and numerous other Apes and Khanaazeer will incrementally preponderate in the world while Islam and the true Muslims will come within the purview of the Hadith:

“Islam began ghareeb (forlorn and friendless). Soon will it return ghareeb. Therefore glad tidings for the Ghuraba.”

In this Hadith are the glad tidings of Allah’s Pleasure for those who struggle and remain firm on the Sunnah during the times of Fitnah. While we may lament and grieve over the satanic developments engineered by these followers of Dajjaal and Iblees, we should not be surprised. It is to be anticipated.

TARIQ JAMEEL AND THE GANG OF ULAMA-E-SOO’

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“Soon will there dawn an age when…..the worst of the people under the canopy of the sky will be the ulama. from them will emerge fitnah and the fitnah will rebound on them.”

A Shaikh commenting on this Hadith said that “under the canopy of the sky” are also the Yahood, Nasaara, Mushrikeen, apes and pigs. These vile ulama (molvis and sheikhs), these mercenaries and villains are in fact worse than all creation “under the canopy of the sky”.

Tariq Jameel, Menk, Sulliman Moolla and a multitude of other shayaateenul ins (human devils) come within the scope of the “worst of people under the canopy of the sky”.

A Brother from Pakistan, commenting on the exceptionally evil state of these villains who masquerade as Ulama, writes as follows. We are reproducing his letter verbatim without the slightest alteration:

(NOTE: I don’t watch these youtubes. I just know the story from reading about it and listening to the owner of message tv).

Ulama are stooping to new lows day after day. It seems that the most corrupt segment of the society today is Ulama. A new incident has surfaced.

This time it is a fight for haram money from youtube. There is a youtube channel called Message TV. I believe they also have a tv channel but I’m not sure. This message tv has been broadcasting bayans of ulama. The owner of the channel has come in public about the conflict he had with the people from the “Official Tariq Jameel’ channel on youtube. They are ulama from “Jamia Hasnain” – tariq jameel’s madrasah in Faislabad.

The conflict is that this message tv has been recording and uploading videos of M Tariq Jameel for many years on their channel. They are earning from those videos on youtube. They have a whole team working on it.

The people from tariq jameel’s madrasah opened their own channel named “official tariq jameel”. So they claimed copyright to all videos and pictures of tariq jameel on youtube. In youtube there is a system of giving strikes if someone else steals your videos.

So what happened was, this official channel people striked message tv’s videos of tariq jameel. Then they threatened them with more strikes and they called them to the madrasah and wrote an agreement and forced them to sign it. Senior Ulama (according to the message tv guy) were involved by him and they acted as middle men to talk to m tariq jameel’s gang in faislabad madrasah. So the message tv was forced to take off all videos of m tariq jameel from their channel. Hand over all videos that they have ever made in all the prior years. And sign a statement saying that all these videos are property of the official channel of tariq jameel. They will never record any more videos of tariq jameel and will never upload it on their channel.

Message tv guy has gone public with all these details because according to him he stuck to the contract and handed over everything but official channel did not abide by the contract and still gave them strikes and now his channel is about to shut down and all the earnings all the team will stop making his team jobless.

They even have a contract written and signed. I am not sending you the contract as it is a waste of time.

The point is that these two people, the ulama gang of tariq jameel and the message tv supposed deeni guy doing great service of deen are fighting over haram money from youtube and they have no shame at all.

The biggest munafiqat of all these molvis I have come across is that they use pirated software, pirated windows, pirated publishing software, and then they become champions of copyright. They give fatwas that copyright is halal and they force it on others when their own books are being copied.

The message tv guy said, that I have known tariq jameel for so many years around 10 and I have been uploading his videos and recording them. If he himself has just called me and told me to hand over everything I would have happily done it.

In his own word, m tariq jameel never called. This is enough to show him what kind of akhlaaq these merceneries have. And they have been promoting them for so long.

The message tv guy was also it it for money so it also serves him right.

THE ULAMA-E-SOO’

Presenting a character sketch of the evil scholars for dollars and the lovers of name and fame (the ulama-e-soo’), Imaam Ghazaali (Rahmatullah alayh) states in his Kitaab, Faslut Tafraqah Bainas Islam waz Zandaqah:
“Know that the reality of kufr and Imaan, and their definition, Haqq (the Truth of Islam) and Dhalaal (Deviation) and their natures do not become conspicuous for hearts filthied by hankering after fame and wealth and their love. But, these realities are revealed to the hearts firstly purified of the pollution of the filth of the world, then polished with perfect spirituality, then brightened with pure Thikr, then nourished with valid contemplation, then beautified with the limits of the Shariah so that they (the purified hearts) are permeated with the Noor (celestial and spiritual radiance) emanating from the Niche of Nubuwwat. Thus, they (these purified hearts) become like glittering mirrors. They become the lanterns of Imaan radiating anwaar.
How is it possible for the spiritual mysteries to unravel for people (ulama-e-soo’) whose vain desires have deflected them (from the Haqq); whose god is their rulers (sultans, kings and the like); whose qiblah is gold and silver; whose shariah is their evil flippancy; whose thikr is their evil devilish ideas (shaitaani wasaawis); whose treasure is their (nafsaani) vermin, and whose contemplation is the fabrication of schemes which their villainy demands.
How is it possible for these (vermin) to differentiate between the darkness of kufr and the glitter of Imaan? Their hearts have not been purified from the contaminations of the world. Their capital in knowledge is the rules of najaasat and the like.” (End of Imaam Ghazaali’s characterization of the ulama-e-soo’)
In fact these juhala-e-soo’ of our era are ignorant of even the masaa-il of Istinja. While the Ummah is ablaze and burning with fisq, fujoor, bid’ah and kufr, and groveling in squalor, extreme poverty and ignorance, these vile vermin molvis and sheikhs, indulge in merrymaking functions of futility, singing, devouring carrion, gluttony and excreting the effluvium of their gluttony.
Amid the heart-rending suffering of the decadent Ummah, these evil molvies and sheikhs squander millions of dollars of the Ummah’s trust funds in baatil accords, conferences and symposiums bootlicking the rulers and mutilating the Deen to appease the oppressive regimes and kings who bestow stupid accolades and financial perks to the vermin truckling at their feet. They satanically squander the trust funds jetting around the globe, enjoying themselves in 5 star hotels and in other nafsaani indulgences whilst their hearts incrementally become harder by the day. They are bereft of any pity and feelings of brotherhood for the suffering masses of the Ummah. That is why they are so obese. Their bodies are nourished with haraam, hence in terms of the Hadith, Jahannam has a greater claim over them.
They strike up dalliances with kuffaar and mushrikeen in the kufr interfaith shaitaani movement. They convert Musaajid into temples. They utilize Musaajid for entertaining the public with songs. They pollute and violate the sanctity of the Musaajid with droves of kuffaar tourists wallowing in physical and spiritual najaasat. They stare amorously with their carnal lusts at the ill-clad kuffaar women in the Musaajid. They join evil sporting clubs, and they organize sporting teams in the names of Musaajid. They teach Bukhaari Shareef and Qur’aan Tafseer in their Darul Ulooms, yet they have kuffaar sportsfield at their institutions. Their Bukhaari students run around the field like baboons in bermudas and T-shirts. Can such vermin ever become Warathatul Ambiya? They halaalize carrion, riba and alcohol. In brief, they are rotten inwards and outwards – rotten to the core, and they peddle all their rot in the name of the Deen. This is the Rot to which Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) referred:
“Soon shall there dawn an age when nothing of Islam will remain except its name. Nothing of the Qur’aan will remain but its text. Their Musaajid will be ornate structures devoid of hidaayat. Their Ulama will be the worst under the canopy of the sky. From them will percolate fitnah, and the fitnah will rebound on them (and hem them in).”
A true Shaikh commented that under the canopy of the sky there are also the Yahood, Nasaara, mushrikeen, apes and swines. From this observation, the category of the juhala-e-soo’ (the evil sheikhs and molvies) will be understood.
No group of mankind has damaged the Deen and ruined the Ummah as much as the ulama-e-soo’- the likes of the sheikhs and molvies of the MJC, NNB jamiat, the Trinity of Iblees, Dajjaals such as Tariq Jameel and the rest of the vile scholars for dollars who operate Madaaris and other Deeni institutions solely for the acquisition of worldly and nafsaani objectives.
They overtly present ‘deeni’ goals whilst covertly they utilize the acts of the Deen for the acquisition of worldly objections. All of them are Signs of Qiyaamah and the fulfilment of the predictions of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

MORONS-The followers of Dajjaal

Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) said:
“People who are greatly enamoured by supernatural feats will be mostly the followers of Dajjaal. The need for following the Sunnah is imperative. Without this, there is deviation, hence such people (despite being professed Muslims) will follow Dajjaal. The people will not be able to escape the tentacles of Dajjaal. Only the followers of the Sunnah will be safe from Dajjaal.
Once I saw Dajjaal in a dream. He was accompanied by innumerable women and musical instruments. People who worship beauty (in haraam ways) will join Dajjaal. It is narrated in Masnawi that Shaitaan had supplicated to Allah Ta’ala for traps. When he was informed that his traps will be women, his delight was beyond all bounds. Nowadays, the peers (the fake spiritual guides) are trapped in this calamity. They worship beauty (i.e. they intermingle with women) and they act in conflict with the Sunnah.”
Comment: Just as Dajjaal will be attracting crowds with his haraam machinations, so too are his agents following in his footsteps. Shayaateenul Ins such as Tariq Jameel, Menk, Sooliman Moolla and many other facebook juhala are all setting the stage for Dajjaal.

Is Tariq Jameel a Scholar of the Deen or a Secular and Liberal Thinker?

The Shameless Speech of Tariq Jameel at the Supreme Court Conference

In supporting the venture of the liberal and secular chief justice, Saqib Nisar’s two offspring, Tariq Jameel has deviated from the Qur’aan, Sunnah and Islamic History and Culture. (Liberalism is kufr. It is a western kuffaar ideology renouncing the existence of The Creator and abrogating morality. It spawns immorality, fisq, fujoor and kufr.)
Tariq Jameel was made to sit in the 3rd row of the conference. In modern states an Aalim of the Deen is not thought worthy of being given a place in the first row. He will invariably be assigned to a third class status. An Aalim of the Deen will always be seated in the 3rd line. It is lamentable that Tariq Jameel is happy with this ‘honour’.

(A spineless bootlicker of the kuffaar has no conception of self-respect and honour, hence he derives elation from the third class status which his secular masters assign to him. Even the secularists whom this Dajjaal praises and bootlicks, despise him. No one has a liking for a contemptible bootlicker. Tariq Jameel Dajjaal is the epitome of bootlicking.)
The Tablighi Jamaat should in future not invite Tariq Jameel to any gathering to deliver a talk. A molvi who is such a (shameless) supporter of liberalism does not deserve a place in the Musjid and Madrasah.

(The Tabligh Jamaat is set on the course of dhalaal –deviation – hence it woos a spineless jaahil, munaafiq of Tariq Dajjaal’s ilk. The Tabligh Jamaat is no longer concerned with the Pleasure of Allah Ta’ala nor with the Maqsad for which the Jamaat was established. It measures it success in terms of numbers. The Tabligh Jamaat bootlicks the Tariq Dajjaal bootlicker. The motivation of the Jamaat for its despicable act of bootlicking an agent of Iblees, is to draw numbers to their ijtimas. They are stupidly concerned with numbers. They believe that Tariq Dajjaal by means of his deception is able to draw crowds, hence they have incorporated this miserable Ibleesi agent as a cog in their ‘tabligh’ programmes. The Tabligh Jamaat elders should hang their heads in shame. They have disgustingly betrayed the Deen and the Ummah.)

The foreign dignitaries and scholars in the conference clapped hands at every nonsensical comment of Tariq Jameel. They were astounded that “a molvi could be so liberal, secular and ‘enlightened’ like us!!!” (His zandaqah -heresy and blasphemy- soothed their kufr palates. Clapping hands is among the outstanding features of the mushrikeen who clap their hands while they dance around their idols of shirk.)

The talk of Tariq Jameel was not that of an Aalim of the Deen. (He is not an Aalim of the Deen. He is an agent of Iblees promoting Satanism.) It was in fact the talk of some puerile, ridiculous and vulgar boy. (The Tariq Jameel character is a dajjaal, a munaafiq agent of Iblees.) Even the chief justice and Imran Khan did not venture to speak such absurdities in regard to the question of population growth. (His brain has been deranged by the najaasat of shaitaan, hence disgorging stupid absurdities and bunkum has become his profession.)
Tariq Jameel ridiculed men and women of the rural areas. This miserable Jameel saheb does not even know the difference between the Islamic meaning of Ilm and the western terms of education, knowledge, and information. He is neither acquainted with the East nor with the West. Imaam Shaami (Rahmatullahi alaih) has written for Muftis that a person who is unaware of his times and the people of the times, such a person is in fact a jaahil. (Tariq Jameel Dajjaal is worse than a jaahil. His jahl is compounded with kufr.)

It is regrettable that such characters are representing the Ummah. (He does not represent the Ummah. How is it possible for a Dajjaal to represent the Ummah? The illusion of being a representative has been created by the juhala of the Tabligh Jamaat who have granted him a pedestal. In so doing, they earn the Wrath of Allah Azza Wa Jal.)
It is clearly discernible that Tariq Jameel is embarrassed at the history, education, and culture of Islam, whilst he is exceptionally and exceedingly influenced and enamoured by the west. (This attitude is the natural effect of bootlicking.)

Tariq Jameel does not even know that a welfare state was never established with the ritual cultures of the world. The welfare state of the west has been built on interest, bonds, tax, and capitalism.

Tariq Jameel has not read a single book on this subject. He salutes this welfare state of Imran Khan which is ‘progressing’ on the back of interest bearing loans from China, Saudi Arabia, America, and Malaysia. To designate a state operating on the basis of interest Madinah, is the heights shameless impudence. (Tariq Jameel Dajjaal is a notorious bootlicker of the West, of the Shiahs and of the people of wealth. He totally lacks in even the understanding of rudimentary requisites of a political state. In fact, he is a jaahil as far as even the rudimentary requisites of Imaan are concerned, hence he dwells in a state of compound kufr.)

Shahzad Rai sang at the conference with music in accompaniment and the height of Tariq Jameel’s Deeni honour and integrity was that he remained seated in his place. Was this what Islam waited for? (Music will be a primary trap of the Chief Dajjaal, hence the small dajjaals such as Tariq Jameel promote music. His sitting through the music session is thus not a conundrum nor is it surprising. It is entirely expected of a dajjaal.)

The method of family planning outlined by Tariq Jameel is that all women should be provided with secular education to enable them to become progressive. It is obvious that when a woman acquires secular education then she will take up employment and she will discard child-bearing. This is the same solution which the chief philosopher of liberalism, John Rawls proffered in his last book, The Law of Peoples. There is no difference between the ideology of Tariq Jameel and the philosopher of liberalism.

(The Tariq Dajjaal has no ideology. His jahl-e-muraqqab – compound ignorance – does not permit him to formulate an ideology, be it a kufr concept. What the jaahil excels in is bootlicking. He laps up the vomit disgorged by those whom he bootlicks, then presents his own stupidities in support of the ideologies of kufr.)
Rawls wrote that a woman should be given education and human rights, and masculinized. (This kufr has become the ‘ideology’ of Tariq Dajjaal).

The chief justice and Tariq Jameel should read the following books dealing with the topics of progress, TV, and development:

3. The Culture of Cynicism

4. Unplanned Revolution

The world is awash with articles on the harms of dams. Dams are the cause of drought, epidemics, ecological pollution and malaria.

There is work on Small Scale Water Management. But our chief justice is promoting all over the country discarded technology. Germane to this he should read the book: Silence Reversed.

The chief justice knows nothing about dams, whilst Tariq Jameel has no inkling about the purport of Population Planning. The two of them should learn to say: “I do not know.”

Before projecting oneself as the guide of the Ummah, educate yourself in current affairs. After studying the abovementioned books it is hoped that the two gentlemen are constrained to repent over their liberal views. N.B. A detailed response will be shortcoming.
