س… کیا جذام والے سے اسلام نے رشتہ ختم کردیا ہے؟ اگر نہیں تو اس کے مریض سے جینے کا حق کیوں چھینا جاتا ہے؟ اور یہ کیوں کہا جاتا ہے کہ: “اس سے شیر کی طرح بھاگو اور اس کو لمبے بانس سے کھانا دو”؟
ج… جو شخص ایسی بیماری میں مبتلا ہو جس سے لوگوں کو اذیت ہوتی ہو، اگر لوگوں کو اس سے الگ رہنے کا مشورہ دیا جائے تو یہ تقاضائے عقل ہے، باقی بیماری کی وجہ سے اس کا رشتہ اسلام سے ختم نہیں ہوگا، اس بیماری پر اس کو اجر ملے گا۔ اسلام تو مرض کے متعدی ہونے کا قائل نہیں، لیکن اگر جذامی سے اختلاط کے بعد خدانخواستہ کسی کو یہ مرض لاحق ہوگیا تو ضعیف الاعتقاد لوگوں کا عقیدہ بگڑے گا اور وہ یہی سمجھیں گے کہ یہ مرض اس کو جذامی سے لگا ہے، اس فسادِ عقیدہ سے بچانے کے لئے لوگوں سے کہا گیا ہے کہ: اس سے شیر کی طرح بھاگو (لمبے بانس سے کھانا دینے کا مسئلہ مجھے معلوم نہیں، نہ کہیں یہ پڑھا ہے)۔ الغرض جذام والے کی تحقیر مقصود نہیں بلکہ لوگوں کو ایذائے جسمانی اور خرابیٴ عقیدہ سے بچانا مقصود ہے۔ اگر کوئی شخص قوی الایمان اور قوی المزاج ہو وہ اگر جذامی کے ساتھ کھاپی لے تب بھی کوئی گناہ نہیں، چنانچہ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جذامی کے ساتھ ایک برتن میں کھانا کھایا ہے۔
